Rationale: Way Back in 1979, I used the Brookhaven National Laboratory Medical Research Reactor to irradiate tooth samples from the Marshall Islands(IAEA member in 1994) and found such star aggregates, fission tracks of various sizes and shapes,
heavy ion recoils like which could be because of the Lexan Polycarbonate track etch material or real heavy ion recoils, alphas, neutrons, protons etc. I wanted then to develop LET Track Etch Spectrometer. The Eastern Europeans and Russians scientists have worked on this idea later (see http://www.freewebs.com/ftcua3/)

Title:

Procedure on each New Elements: Z=103 to 118 and beyond

Details on Production

Details on Exposure to Radiation, if any, most probably present

Info on Radiological Toxicity

Info on Chemical Toxicity

Info on Biological Toxicity--accumulation, distribution, retention, excretion and transfer functions and numerous environmental pathways and numerous routes of entries...whole body counting, bioassay programs to include tooth fairy programs for radionuclides and metals including trace metals and also chemicals, etc.

Question: are the increased incidence of cancer that cannot be accounted for by the many theories due to the newly discovered and still undiscovered elements formed as a result of nuclear weapon explosions and the nuclear fusions and solar winds and other electromagnetic radiations because some have half-lives of nanoseconds, microseconds, milliseconds and are not identified and those with longer half lives decay slower, perhaps years and more years...

Macrodistribution and Microdistribution in Different Mediums

Radiation, Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety(REOHS) of the New Elements

Waste Management, whether Hazardous or not so

Needed: Updating Lederer and Shirley's Table of Isotopes, Seventh Edition, John Wiley and Sons, Inc., New York, which ended with Lawrencium Z=103

Needed: multielement and multiradinuclide monitor or indicator or spectrometer or tracks something...

different energies alpha, neutrons, protons, spontaneous fission, electron capture, hevy ions, of course the new elements

Have to look into NASA Space Radiation Laboratory at Brookhaven National Laboratory in Upton, New York

Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider

National Synchrotron Light Source 1 and 2

Where do we need Monitoring Stations

Questions: How do we identify all the elements in the periodic table that are old and new?

Multielemental Analysis method is better: X-ray Fluorescence and Proton Induced X-ray Emission and Proton Induced Gamma Emission

see other methods reviewed in Element Concentrations in Teeth, 1992, monograph, of course by Florence T. Cua

need to be updated to 2007

Track Etch Spectrometers

more studies needed especially with heavy ions
